The Details
The vision for Guardian grew from my relationship with the Wallum Banksia (Banksia aemula) and the time I've spent walking through our local heathlands.
Standing tall above the surrounding wildflowers, I've always been drawn to the sense of protection these banksias seem to hold, almost like guardians watching over the wallum landscape.
Shaped by fire, weather and time, there is a steadiness to their presence. To me, the Wallum Banksia feels like an anchor within the heath, resilient, patient and deeply connected to place.
